Shimizuyu is a historic public bath in the old downtown of Minakuchi-cho, Koka, Shiga, founded in the Taisho era. The water is heated with firewood from groundwater, giving the bath a refreshing, hot feel against the skin. The bathtub is single, a deep design that can fit about 4 people.
