Echigo Tochio Onsen Oirako no Yu is a welfare facility in Nagaoka, Niigata. Its hot spring was successfully drilled in 2005 (Heisei 17) in the former Tochio City. The baths are available from noon, until 20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays and until 19:00 on other days. Admission is 400 yen for general visitors and 250 yen for those 65 and older, and free for preschool children. The facility is closed on Thursdays and during the year-end and New Year holidays. To use the family bath, reserve by phone by 15:00 the day before. The spring type is sodium chloride strong salt spring; no water is added, and the water is recirculated and filtered, heated and disinfected.
