Hakone Tsutaya Ryokan is in Sokokura Onsen, Hakone, one of the Hakone Seven Hot Springs. It opened in November 2019 as a ryokan-style guesthouse inheriting a hot spring inn with roots dating to the Edo period. The baths use free-flowing hot spring water along with filtration and circulation for hygiene management. Rooms include Japanese-style, Western-style, Japanese-Western and cabin types; Japanese-Western rooms accommodate up to six guests. There is an open-air bath. The springs are simple hot spring and sodium-chloride hot spring. Bathing is for staying guests only; day-use bathing is unavailable.
