Shiawase no Yu is a community-rooted day-use bathing facility located in the Tajiri district, Tomiai-machi, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City. It is known for its iron-rich red water (radon/radium-type therapeutic spring); the bathing tubs come in two types: very hot and comfortably warm, both spacious. It also has a dry sauna (about 90 degrees C) and a water bath (about 20 degrees C). Opening hours: 10:00-22:00 (last entry 21:00), with an 11:00 opening on Thursdays. Family bath (private use) is also available (1,500 yen per hour, extension possible).
