Kawara Onsen Kawara no Yu is a day-trip hot spring in Chino. It has a bath area and a sauna, as well as rest rooms of 62 tatami mats and 18 tatami mats. The courtyard has an alpine plant garden and a pond. Opening hours are 9:00 to 21:00, with reception until 20:30. It is closed every Thursday. It is 15 minutes by car from Chino Station and 30 minutes by car from Suwa IC, with parking for 50 cars. The spring type is alkaline simple spring. It is a welfare community hot spring that opened in Heisei 3 (1991), and it also has an open-air bath.
