JR栗野駅から車で15分、鹿児島空港から車で30分の場所に、栗野岳温泉 南洲館があります。鹿児島県湧水町のホテルです。泉質は硫黄泉・硫酸塩泉・酸性泉です。本館の内湯は男女別で、24時間入浴できます。離れには泥湯「竹の湯」や硫黄風呂「桜湯」もあります。源泉100%の温泉掛け流しです。駐車場はありません。山間にあるため、携帯電話の電波が届きにくい場所です。
部屋設備・備品として石鹸(固形)、ハミガキセット、タオル、バスタオル、浴衣を用意。蒸し風呂はコロナ対策のため利用不可との注記あり。
