「草津温泉 中村屋旅館」は湯畑まで徒歩30秒という草津温泉の中心部にある旅館です。懐かしい雰囲気の館内には五つの貸切御座敷風呂があります。名前はななかまど・いわかがみ・しらねあおい・こまくさ・しゃくなげです。畳敷きの浴室で、湯畑源泉をかけ流しで24時間入浴できます。夕食は囲炉裏を使った山里料理が特徴です。営業は宿泊者専用で、日帰り入浴はできません。
貸切御座敷風呂に「シャンプー、コンディショナー、ボディソープ、クレンジング、化粧水、乳液、シェービングフォーム、ブラシ、綿棒、ヘアゴムなど」備付。タオルは別途有料で入浴タオル216円（お持ち帰り可）、バスタオル324円（レンタル）。客室設備はテレビ、お茶セット、冷蔵庫、ハミガキセット、カミソリ、ブラシ、タオル、浴衣。日帰り入浴 11:00〜15:00、1組2,500円（45分）。夕朝食は囲炉裏御膳。
