Kyoto City Kinrin Bathhouse

One of the municipal bathhouses set up by Kyoto City to improve the health, sanitation, and living environment of its citizens. Located in Shishigatani in Sakyo Ward, it is just a short walk from the south end of the Philosopher's Path, allowing visitors to finish a stroll during the cherry blossom or autumn leaf seasons and head straight for a bath. The bathroom is equipped with a sauna, a cold-water bath, a jet bath, and a bubble bath. There is no outdoor bath. The daily operation is handled by a designated administrator, and the bathing fee is from 550 yen for adults, fitting into the local sento price range. While maintaining the setup of a traditional sento, the facility has been maintained by the city as a public facility, which sets it apart from the surrounding bathhouses.
