湯布院のシンボル・金鱗湖の湖畔に建つ、茅葺き屋根が目印の昔ながらの混浴共同浴場。 内湯と半露天風呂が縦に並び、どちらも混浴で、脱衣所も浴槽のすぐ脇にあるシンプルな造り。泉質は無色透明の単純泉（源泉温度約69.4℃）、内湯は熱め、半露天はやや温めで、かけ流しの新鮮な湯を楽しめる。 金鱗湖や湯布院の自然を感じながらの入浴は格別で、特に秋冬の朝霧や夜の幻想的な雰囲気が人気。
