The pride of Tennen Onsen Megumi no Yu in Obu is its bicarbonate spring, which rises from 1,500 meters underground. There are a large bath, sauna, open-air baths and Tokoname-ware ceramic tubs. Entry is from 9:00 to 21:00 (last entry 8:30 p.m.). The four private baths, including Yoko and Jurin, are by reservation for 90 minutes per session. It is about 30 minutes by car from Nagoya Station and about 15 minutes by bus from JR Obu Station. The foot bath Chapun, open only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, is also available.
