Ono Onsen Center (Roadside Station Ono Onsen), located in Ashikita Town, Kumamoto Prefecture, is a day-use hot spring with an outdoor bath, sauna, and dining area for hot-spring cure, sightseeing, and everyday use. Open 10:00-20:00 (last entry 19:30). Day-use admission: adult (junior high and above) 300-400 yen (varies by source, official is 400 yen); elementary 200-300 yen; infants (3 and above) 100 yen. Access: about 15 minutes by car from Ashikita IC on the Minami-Kyushu West-Route Expressway; about 30 minutes by car from Hitoyoshi IC on the Kyushu Expressway; about 15 minutes by taxi from Sashiki Station on the Hisatsu Orange Railway. A place to spend relaxed time alongside Kumamoto's nature, food, and tourism.
