Kaichoen is a ryokan founded in 1962 that has the oldest existing building in Kaike Onsen. Its source is natural hot spring water at 73.5 degrees, flowing directly into the baths with only water added. It is a salt spring that tastes salty, and in addition to an open-air rock bath built in the Taisho era, there is also a Sango-yu (coral bath) and a private bath. There are 13 guest rooms in total: 11 Japanese-style rooms and 2 Japanese-Western-style rooms. The interior is covered with tatami, and dinner is served in a private room or in the guest room. Free parking is also available.
