A public bath beside a mountain valley. In 2004, the hot spring district became the first in Japan to declare that all its baths use continuously flowing water directly from the source; this bath also uses 100% source water flowing directly from the outlet into the tubs. Separate men's and women's areas have an indoor cypress bath and an open-air bath overlooking a small waterfall descending to the stream. The water is an alkaline simple sulfur spring, clear and colorless, with a faint sulfur aroma and mineral deposits. The bath is within walking distance of the village office.
