A simple community bathhouse in Kitasato, Oguni Town, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture, run by local residents. It uses source water from 170 meters underground, with sulfur components that appear as white deposits at the spout, and a large amount of "yumebatake" (sinter) flaring. The bathhouse features separate gender indoor baths that are simple yet clean. The windows offer a view of rural scenery and the Kitasato River, and in June, as the name "Firefly Village" suggests, a fantastic scene of countless fireflies is said to be visible.

- Car: about 30 km (about 40 min) from Oita Expressway Hita IC via National Routes 212 and 387. About 20 min by taxi from JR Kyudai Main Line Hikiji Station. From National Route 387, look for the "Yamakawa Onsen" sign and proceed to the former Miyahara Line elevated area nearby.
