鉄輪と並び別府温泉発祥の地とされる歴史ある市営共同浴場。 名前の由来は、浜辺から温泉が湧き出る様子から「浜わき」と呼ばれるようになったと伝えられている。 昭和初期には浜脇東・西温泉が合併し、現在の浜脇温泉が誕生。平成3年には再開発で現在の鉄筋コンクリート造にリニューアルされ、 2018年には浴槽が「あつ湯」と「ぬる湯」の2槽になった。
別府市営温泉。備品は有料で、タオル300円、白石鹸150円、リンスインシャンプー（パウチ）50円、ボディーソープ50円、カミソリ50円、ドライヤー（レンタル）50円、コインロッカー100円。洗面器は無料。タオルは種別の明記がなく、白石鹸も洗顔用との明記がないため該当キーは未設定。
