Honjin Hiranoya Bekkan is a ryokan at 1-5 Honmachi, Takayama, Gifu, now operating under the name Honjin Hiranoya Kofukan. It has an open-air bath overlooking the city. There are four room types: Western-style twin on the Jinya side, Japanese-style on the river side, Japanese-style on the town side, and Western-style twin on the river side. Dinner is a kaiseki meal using local ingredients such as Hida beef, with the menu changing monthly. Wi-Fi is available and all rooms are non-smoking. Hina dolls are displayed during the Takayama Hina Festival season. It is about 10 min on foot from JR Takayama Station, or about 3 min by free shuttle bus, and 1 min on foot from the old townscape.
