"Ichi no Yu" is a retro Showa-era public bath that opened in 1926 in the castle town of Iga City, Mie Prefecture. It is characterized by its stately stone gate and main building with a karahafu-style roof, both designated as a nationally registered tangible cultural property, giving visitors the feel of stepping back 100 years. Baths are simply arranged with plain water, bubble bath, and cold-water bath. There is no sauna, but hot and lukewarm waters are available, and the bath is loved by locals and public-bath fans.
