山の宿新明館は熊本県南小国町満願寺にある旅館です。住所は満願寺6608です。川沿いの岩戸風呂は黒川温泉で最初に作られた露天風呂で、初代主人が手掘りしたという全長30メートルの洞窟風呂もあります。食事は囲炉裏を囲んでの郷土料理で、夏はアユ、冬はヤマメが味わえます。黒川温泉街の中心部にあり、素朴な佇まいを残す一軒です。
