Sanbanyu Wata no Yu is one of the public baths (soto-yu) of Shibu Onsen in Yamanouchi, Nagano. Shibu Onsen has nine public baths. The spring water is a sodium-calcium-sulfate-chloride spring, hypotonic, weakly acidic and high-temperature. The source temperature is 65.0°C, and the temperature at the point of use is 42°C. Because its many white mineral flakes (yu-no-hana) literally call cotton to mind, it was named "Wata no Yu" (Cotton Bath).
