別府市鉄輪にある温泉施設で、1276年に一遍上人が創設したとされています。温泉で熱せられた石室の床に薬草「石菖」を敷き、その上に横たわる独特のサウナ形式です。源泉は引湯のかけ流しで、営業時間は6時30分から20時まで（最終受付19時30分）、定休日は第4木曜日です。料金はむし湯700円、足蒸しは無料です。
