Lamp no Yado Watai Onsen, in Kashimo, Nakatsugawa, Gifu, is a wooden inn built in Taisho 13 (1924). It is built in the kakezukuri style on a mountain slope, with 7 guest rooms and parking for 15 cars. There is no electricity, and TVs, refrigerators and mobile phones cannot be used. Day-trip bathing requires a reservation and costs 500 yen per person, but it is not available on Saturdays, consecutive holidays or during busy periods. The inn is open from April 1 to November 30, and closed from December to March because the forest road is closed.
