Iwa no Yu is a communal bathhouse in Yuzawa, officially named Tsuchitaru Kyodo Yokujo (Tsuchitaru Communal Bathhouse). It stands beside a pleasant mountain stream, and you can look out over the stream while soaking in the bath. The spring type is alkaline simple hot spring. It opens at 10:00 and can be used until 21:00, with last reception at 20:30. Closed on Wednesdays; when this falls on a public holiday, the year-end and New Year period, or Obon, the closing day is moved to another day. Admission is 850 yen for adults and 350 yen for children. In addition to the lobby, there is a space for resting. It is 10 minutes by car from both Echigo-Yuzawa Station and Yuzawa IC, and there is parking for 32 cars.
