Komako no Yu is a day-trip hot spring in Yuzawa, Niigata. The spring water is sodium-calcium chloride hot spring water, classified as a hypotonic, weakly alkaline, high-temperature spring. Opening hours are 10:00 to 21:00, with last admission at 20:30. The facility is closed on Thursdays; when a Thursday falls on a public holiday, the year-end and New Year period, or the Obon period, the closure is moved to a later day. It is a 20-minute walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station and a 10-minute drive from Yuzawa IC. Admission is 850 yen for adults (including 150 yen bathing tax) and 350 yen for children. Children aged 3 and under are free, and admission for people with disabilities is 250 yen. A 10-visit coupon book costs 5,600 yen for adults and 2,800 yen for children. Inside are a lobby, a resting room, and an exhibition corner presenting materials about the snow country.
